[Colour of Loss - CotM01]

When browsing through the submissions, your work really stood out to me. I think you really succeeded to give the ghost a warm feeling, and I love the contrast in colours. The only feedback I could give is that the cross and plate are maybe a bit to light in colour. It slightly distracts a bit from the focus of the man and woman, and it seems like there is a secondary light source coming from the front. If that was what you meant for it to be, forget I said anything :). I'm definitely not an expert, but I like your work so much that I just wanted to reach out and tell you that I sincerely hope you keep it up!

Thank you so much, means a lot to hear what you thought of it! Light sources, and light and shadow in general is definitely something I'm still trying to figure out, but haven't quite gotten the hang of yet. I'm always afraid that it'll turn out too dark and muddy and I am notorious for messing up where I decide my light source is coming from, but I do think you are right about the cross and metal plate. I might go back and rework it with your comments in mind and hopefully learn how to do it better next time. Again thanks so much for your comment ^.^
